A scenic spot of the bay of Laganas is the pine-covered island of Agios Sostis / Cameo island. The privately owned little island is on the left side of Lagana bay and was joined with Zakynthos island until 1633 when it was split by an earthquake. Today, during the summer months the island is connected to the land by a huge wooden bridge.

There’s a small fee to pay on arrival which includes a drink of your choice from the beachside bar. You can visit this island early in the morning for a coffee, in the noon for your swimming or late in the afternoon for your drink.

Undoubtedly this is one of the most picturesque spots on the island.
